Creative Design Market, Wintergarden Geelong

I love accessories, handmade creations and taking photos. Last Sunday I had an excuse to indulge in all three. I attended a local handmade Market. Best of all it was at the Wintergarden venue in Geelong. It is a little posh, and a lot groovy.  

Having lived in Geelong since 2008 I've gotten to know some of the local artists. Some by reputation and others in person.

Lauren Ferry from Oktoberdee. I had admired Oktoberdee purses locally in Pakington Street. I loved the designs and craftsmanship. It was fabulous to meet Lauren in person. She explained how her work now has a geometric focus. It looks fabulous! Don't you think?

Victoria Edgar is an amazing designer. I love her work. Every piece is luscious. I've only ever heard good things about Victoria and her work. She is highly regarded in the creative world. I missed out on meeting her in person, however I am a huge fan of her creativity. I'd love to posses just one tenth of her amazingness.

Kelly Clitheroe from Maille Fantasy. Kelly works with metal. Her speciality is chain maille. I don't mind chain maille. I can appreciate that those weaves take time to master. However, Kelly makes chain maille look sexy! Even her industrial pieces are rustically divine and yet some how gorgeously feminine at the same time. I'm not the only one who thinks so either. Kelly is highly talented and creative. She is also a creative friend I met via facebook. Love your work!

I wish I had a few purchases to share with you. After my admin role was made redundant last week, I'm watching my spending habits. Although I wish I had grabbed the metal fish creation by Cinnamon's Art, a Victoria Edgar ring, an Oktoberdee purse, and a Maille Fantasy necklace.
