Having free rein over my days hasn't magically made me a better blogger. Hasn't fashioned more interesting content for you to enjoy.
Sulk over.
I lectured myself. That's what I have to do now that I'm the 'boss' and the 'worker'. Sunday night I wrote a detailed 'to do' list. My direction was clear. I had set tasks to focus on. If I did these things, I could pat myself on the back. Go me!
Monday morning I woke to a brightly shining sun. Not the Geelong sunshine I'm accustomed to. The type that appears for ten minutes then disappears. This one hung around all day! Me, being my own boss, ordered myself to go out and enjoy a walk. It was cold at 9am. But oh so good!

My boss being wise, knew that a morning walk would kick the brain cells into action. That exercise was good for morale and my mood. That the sluggish feeling I'd have from too much milk in my coffee would be best replaced with a zing from a walk. I like my boss, she's cool. :)

Midday I received a text from my Mum. She was heckling me about not writing a blog post on Saturday. Okay, I'm not the only one noticing that I'd been slipping. Opps my bad! I'd already given myself a butt kicking. Now my Mum was giving me one too for good measure.
For a Monday I'm loving life.
Monday I'm not sure if we were ever friends. Today we are.
PS sorry for all those bad things I used to say about you.

I have to say Jeanie.....I love my Mondays and I've finally made friends with it. It's my day where I go for my 4k walk and a visit to my local coffee shop where I take my ipad along a do my work, blogging, reading etc. So I get in my coffee fix, exercise and I get to love my Mondays.
ReplyDeleteYour Monday looked gorgeous, Jeanie, from your fantastic photos.
