Aussie Curves - Picnic

Aussie Curves is an outfit photo challenge. This weeks theme is - picnic. Any time I'm invited to a picnic I want to look nice and feel comfortable (ummm when don't I). I want to be able to muck around with a frisbee or play with the kids. Not mine, I don't have any. But I come from a big family with 26 first cousins!  Now that I'm married, I wonder if I can talk my husband into the occasional romantic picnic. If I promise gooey cheese I'm sure it'd be a done deal.

A picnic tends to mean climbing over a seat to sit at a table, or sitting on a blanket. For this reason I have chosen to wear shorts. Classy shorts though. These are from TS 14 Plus. They have a cute short split at the back of the knee and are really comfy to wear.

Cold miserable weather in Geelong, with a head cold to match meant, I didn't venture down to the local park or river today to take photos. So I had a mini make-believe picnic indoors. I'm relieved really. I'll have to brave the 'public photos' another day. It's so much easier to be silly in my studio at home. Oh yes, I dance and prance.

Yes, I have arms! White un-toned glorious arms. Since a picnic is best enjoyed on a sunny day, thought it best to wear something with layers. I do live in Geelong after all, who knows what the weather will be doing one minute to the next. I am loving this tee from Autograph. The front has two layers that are joined at the shoulder. It drapes in a very flattering way. The bottom layer clings to the belly, leaving the top layer to fall gracefully. I wish more tops where like this!

My aunt *waves hello* gave me this necklace. She said I should use the pretty beads to create something else. I put it on and asked 'would it be okay if I just kept it like this?'. It's rather stunning! Chunky but light. A pretty mix of blue and brown on string. I suspect the necklace is from Autograph, I'm not sure. Perfect for non fuss accessories for a picnic.

Shoes that can be easily kicked off to feel the grass under your toes is a must! There is something about being outdoors, the sunshine, fresh air, and the feel of squishy grass under toes. I'm not alone on that one, right?!

    1. Thanks, the shorts were last year. TS seem to favour that style of shorts, so I'd expect to see something similar in store soon. The Autograph top/cardy were both purchased recently, about one or two months ago. The material for both of those is lovely, so soft on the skin and light.

    1. Hi,I have always been told I have great skin. Thank you.

I do mention on my disclosure page that Photoshop is used to clear up blemishes. We all use a form of 'photoshop' when we slap on makeup. That's a topic for a post another day.

    1. The cardigan is awesome. It has pockets! It's light and I think it could easily go over a dressy dress also.

What is this digging out of necklaces? Sounds like you need a necklace storage thingy. Hope one or more will be in your new walk in dressing room =)
