I bought these blue shoes at my local Op shop in Pakington Street. They were $25 and brand new. That's pretty steep for a second hand store. It was an 'upmarket' op shop. I've found the shoes extremely hard to style. I'm not even sure I'm making this outfit work. The shoes are crazy high and slippery. If I was every going to wear them, it'd be for this challenge. The red jacket is from the clothing swap party I attended at PSWA in Sydney.
Jeanie wears:
Red Cardy by Capture (swapped)
Purple tank by TS14 Plus
Purple skirt by 17 Sundays (via The Iconic)
Nirvana Indicolite Ring by Swarovski
Do you have some awesome finds from Op shopping?

Yay you're wearing my cardi and it looks AMAZING on you! Love this outfit x
ReplyDeleteI was wondering whose cardi that belonged to first. Thank you it will get much wear when the weather cools down!
Deletebeautiful face close up. The shoes are def unusual, I think you've done well with your styling
ReplyDeleteThanks. I like all the elements of what I'm wearing. Still not convinced they all work together. I gave it a go.
DeleteI love these shoes. Love love them. Great find. I can also imagine them with those hot 17 Sundays leggings of yours and some layered on tops.
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't I think of those leggings?! Keen to try that later today. Thanks.
DeleteYou should try the shoes with skinny jeans or leggings, maybe your 17sunday wet look ones! love the close up and your makeup, you look stunning!
ReplyDeleteI did try them with some black jeans, and a blue maxi dress. Neither worked. Will try the wet look pants. Re the makeup, I was liking it that day and wanted to show it off LOL =)
DeleteTricky shoes, but good on you for taking them on instead of something safer. I agree that the outfit's not quite there, but you look fab as usual Jeanie!
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with the intensity of the blue. Not sure they're the wisest purchase, but at $25 I was game.
DeleteThose shoes are killer Jeanie! Love how you've styled your outfit this week...great colour combination.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa. I think that's why I settled on these pieces, I loved the colour combo.
DeleteI have that ring! I wear it almost everyday; it's so lush.
ReplyDeleteI know right! I seem to be wearing it every time I leave the house, and sometimes at home too. It's just so pretty.
DeleteWow the colouring of those shoes are all kinds of amazing. Jealous that I cannot wear 'normal' shoes (need orthotics). I like the colours of your outfit too and think you are totally working it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks =) That's what attracted me to those shoes. The awesome colour!
DeleteI LOVE the shoes!! So funky and i think the outfit works :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yeah I'm still not 100% sure about it. I'll work on it.
DeleteI bought something from ebay the other day. Must have been sleepwear from Autograph not sure when Autograph last had sleepwear. A summer wrap thing. Mine was very old.
ReplyDeletethe one I used to wear lol, not the new one sorry.
ReplyDeleteLOL I knew what you meant. Awesome, if you know something works for you, yeah get it via a method that saves you money. Why the heck not! =)
DeleteThose shoes were worth the $25, they're great! If you find them too slippery, you could always sand the soles with some gritty sandpaper till you find them not too slippy? I've had to do that in the past and it works well :)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about that, ruffing up the soles. They're still really high, but I'd like the option to be able to wear them. One day. Maybe.
