Aussie Curves - Second Hand

This week Aussie Curves has me searching for second hand and swapped items. Op shops aren't my first choice. However I do love to discover a treasure or two! I also think swapping clothes is the perfect way to exchange something you no longer wear for something new.

I bought these blue shoes at my local Op shop in Pakington Street. They were $25 and brand new. That's pretty steep for a second hand store. It was an 'upmarket' op shop. I've found the shoes extremely hard to style. I'm not even sure I'm making this outfit work. The shoes are crazy high and slippery. If I was every going to wear them, it'd be for this challenge. The red jacket is from the clothing swap party I attended at PSWA in Sydney.

    1. I did try them with some black jeans, and a blue maxi dress. Neither worked. Will try the wet look pants. Re the makeup, I was liking it that day and wanted to show it off LOL =)

  5. Tricky shoes, but good on you for taking them on instead of something safer. I agree that the outfit's not quite there, but you look fab as usual Jeanie!

    1. I fell in love with the intensity of the blue. Not sure they're the wisest purchase, but at $25 I was game.

  8. Wow the colouring of those shoes are all kinds of amazing. Jealous that I cannot wear 'normal' shoes (need orthotics). I like the colours of your outfit too and think you are totally working it :)

  12. Those shoes were worth the $25, they're great! If you find them too slippery, you could always sand the soles with some gritty sandpaper till you find them not too slippy? I've had to do that in the past and it works well :)

    1. I was thinking about that, ruffing up the soles. They're still really high, but I'd like the option to be able to wear them. One day. Maybe.
