Do you hide in black?
Does your confidence sway with the number on the scale?
...I did. Mine used to.

I know what it's like to cancel on friends for social events. Because there's nothing to wear. Nothing seems to fit. Nothing looks good. My mind used to be filled with negative self talk. 'Life will be better when I loose ten kilos'. Sound familiar?

Bit by bit, outfit by outfit, I made small changes. On the outside I started to look great. On the inside acceptance grew. For the first time I felt confident. Stylish even! For me the biggest challenge was to feel comfortable wearing colour and accessories.

My happiness no longer sways with the number on the scale. I still strive to be healthy and active. I just prefer not to waste life hating my body. If I did, I'd miss out on the good stuff. Know what I mean?!

What do you call a blogger who prefers to look for the positive. Is interested in fashion. Loves to chat about style, photography and life? ...you call her Jeanie Irving.

I'm an Aussie who grew up in Queensland and relocated to Victoria in 2008. I live an hour outside Melbourne in Geelong with my husband Mark. We've decided to be child-free, therefore I enjoy a sleep in most weekends. We have two very spoilt turtles, Aristotle and Gertrude.

I'm often tapping away at my ipad. I'm on facebook way too often. I distract myself with pinterest and instagram. You guessed it, I'm a visual person.

I have a weakness for hazelnut chocolate and ice cream. These are the undoing of my healthy eating and juice drinking efforts. Well in relation to my waist line. I drink veggie juice for the nutrients & health benefits. I aim for balance. Life without chocolate seems wrong.

I'm a positive person and always look for the silver lining. I prefer not to dwell on negatives. I steer clear of newspapers. I rarely buy magazines and wish I was cured of my need for celebrity gossip. However at the hairdressers I always delight in devouring those glossy pages.

I have a pair of taps in my current shoe size! After six years of dance class as a kid I gave it a go as an adult. I was a bit lost. Too advanced for beginners and too slow for advanced. Those shoes remain in my closet. Just in case I want to bust out a heel ball shuffle stomp.

Inspired Wish was born to nurture my creative need to make jewellery. I learnt how to solder, make silicon moulds and pour resin. That lead to having a blog and taking lots of photos of my pieces. Soon I was burning the candle at both ends and decided to stop making jewellery to sell.

I loved to blog so I continued with that and promoted self confidence for the curvy woman. Whilst I love dressing up, now I weigh up 'do I want those awesome shoes or a new lens'? Photography has become all encompassing. Then again each stage of this journey has been like that.

My career features Administration and Reception roles for small businesses and corporate companies. I've worked with Sales Teams, and Management teams. With an Agriculture bank, a big insurance company, with a national food company and in Land Development.

The favourite part of my career has been the people. Always the people. My peers have often told me I should do a Graphic Design course and try Photoshop. I thought that was 'crazy talk' as someone had told me Photoshop was hard to learn.

A recent redundancy has made me a full time blogger by default. I have a saying, be careful what you wish for. I wished for this scenario and it came true! Now I think about it, my career history has been a roll coaster of promotions, redundancies and mergers. Each adverse situation bought about a better position, and eventually introduced me to my husband. See, I really do find the silver lining!

....Oh and now I play with Photoshop for fun!
