Need Help Commenting

My Mum told me she had trouble commenting. I didn't pay much attention. Then I had seasoned bloggers say they had trouble commenting. Here are some instructions to help every body out.

At the end of each blog post I will sign off,

and below that you will find the comment area.
Click where the arrow is pointing to open the comments area.

When the comments area is opened, it looks like this. 

I have no idea why that line is sometimes placed across the text (as part of the 'Thank you for visiting' message). It's not like that by my choice. If I knew how to get my CSS code to work, I'd remove it.

If the comment section looks different, that can be for two reasons.

1.  Either you are commenting on a post that isn't recent and therefore Blogger comments may be in place.

OR

2.  You rushed to the comment section and therefore did not allow Intense Debate enough time to kick in. You see I use the Blogger platform for my blog, but have opted to include Intense Debate comments. If I could undo that and keep all my comments I would (since Blogger now has a reply to feature too).
